    Chief Technology Officer - Vald Performance
    Built on a collaboration with the Queensland University of Technology, Vald Performance has developed the NordBord – a hamstring testing system that has had rapid uptake globally and is being used by some of the world’s leading sporting teams, including in the English Premier League, NFL and NCAA in the US, and Rugby World Cup.
  • Sarah Timmerman
    Founder - Beginning Boutique
    Beginning Boutique is taking online fashion in Australia by storm. One of the country’s fastest growing companies in 2015, the e-commerce fashion retailer has over 1 million social media followers, and in 2014 was awarded Best Social Media Brand in Australia, beating out brands such as Audi and BMW.
  • Vu Tran
    Co-Founder - Go1
    Vu and his business partners come together as a high school startup in 2005, and have since launched Go1 together – a training software startup. Go1 went through the Y Combinator program in 2015, and has secured investment in Queensland and internationally. Go1 is still headquartered in Queensland, but has close to 50 staff across offices in Australia, South-East Asia, US and UK.
  • Jeff & Fleur Anning
    Founders - Evolve Skateboards
    Jeff and Fleur are entrepreneurs based on the Gold Coast and founders of Evolve Skateboards. After selling out their first orders in 2012, Jeff and Fleur have developed the highest quality electric skateboard on the market. Evolve Skateboards sell into 35 countries, with brand ambassadors from France, Germany, USA and Finland, including Felix Baumgartner.

    Co-Founder and CEO - RedEye
    RedEye is a tech startup founded in 2011 to provide leading new ways of managing engineering drawings and assets. RedEye has more than 400 clients, manages in excess of $50 billion worth of engineering assets, and has offices in Brisbane, the US and Singapore.
  • Alexandra French
    Co-Founder - ALM HealthTech
    A very early-stage startup, ALM HealthTech is striving to bring innovation and technology to preventable health issues for global communities. The team’s first product is a sinus health care system, and is currently in development. ALM HealthTech has worked closely with a Queensland university commercialisation company to develop their product, and took part in an accelerator program.

    Founder and CEO - Safety Culture
    SafetyCulture has had global success with their product – iAuditor – the world’s most used safety inspection App. iAuditor has been downloaded nearly 1 million times, and is used over 35,000 times a day in over 80 countries. Proudly headquartered in North Queensland, Safety Culture has raised over $12m in funding rounds, and recently opened an office in Silicon Valley, and a presence in London. Today, Luke is focused on making safety available to all workers in the world through delivering low cost mobile tools.

    Founders – Machinam
    The Machinam team are changing the way of learning maths, by developing a smartphone app that is engaging for high school students. It connects what students are learning and makes it relevant to real life. Machinam has been bootstrapped by the founders, and are currently developing their web-based application, but their global ambition is to give 1 billion students access to basic STEM skills.
